4TH ANNUAL DAVID MAUS FOUNDATION CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT DATE ANNOUNCEMENT
Orlando, FL – The David Maus Foundation announces today the dates for the 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament presented by the Leavitt Companies, Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, to be kicked off on Sunday, May 18 with a Meet The Pros dinner and live auction at the Marriott World Center and a Shotgun Start on Monday, May 19th at the award winning Falcon’s Fire Golf Club with sports and entertainment celebrities on hand to raise money to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Florida, the Florida Children’s Hospital and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

The 2008 tournament marks the fourth year the David Maus Foundation has held this event to benefit local charities dedicated to helping children with life-threatening illness. Past charitable honorees have been Camp Boggy Creek, Children’s Miracle Network, Give Kids the World and the Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Florida. Through past tournament fundraising efforts the David Maus Foundation has been able to donate over $240,000 and underwrite 2 rooms at the Ronald McDonald Houses, allowing families to stay free of charge while their child is hospitalized.
“This is one of our favorite events all year as we get a chance to hang out with incredible Celebrities donating their time to help us raise money for these great charities,” said Board Member, Jane Hobson.
Celebrities such as Pro-Bowler for the New England Patriots, Fred Marion; former MLB All-Star pitcher, Mike Cuella; former NBA shooting guard for the Orlando Magic, Anthony Bowie; NFL Hall of Fame, former SuperBowl champion Rickey Jackson, former MLB World Series Champion pitcher, Curtis Leskanic and much more.
The David Maus Foundation was founded in 2005 by David Maus and a team of volunteers to raise money for charitable organizations dedicated to helping children and their families dealing with life-threatening illness. In three years, the Foundation has donated over $400,000 to local charities such as Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Florida, Camp Boggy Creek, Children’s Miracle Network and Give Kids the World.
